Hill recommends Yun Fitness Bootcamps not only for the quick results but also for the encouraging, supportive environment. “There’s no yelling,” she notes.

“No one puts anyone down.” Sarah Borich, another new participant, says, “The camp is great for all skill levels and not intimidating to participate in. It’s a great workout that makes you excited to come back for more.”

Anyone in Columbus can experience what Hill and Borich have experienced by signing up for a free, no-obligation, two-week trial with Yun Fitness Bootcamps (www.yunbootcamps.com).

Is Social Support The Answer To Permanent Weight Loss?

Friday, December 11th, 2009

One of the keys to losing weight and keeping it off… Well there actually is a bunch of them. But some people who are really struggling or who want to find a great way to stay motivated need to turn to this fat loss gem—Social Support. Or accountability. Social support will help you lose weight and keep it off. Friends will help you stop being fat

It’s one of the biggest reasons why, or why not, people will lose the weight they want. It’s tough to stay motivated and have a laser focus on something that takes a long time to accomplish. And depending on how much weight you have to lose, it can take as little as several weeks up to years to lose all the weight that you want.

Social support can keep you honest and motivated. Who can give you social support? Friends, family, co-workers, people in authority positions, mentors, personal trainers teachers, kids, etc… It really doesn’t matter who it is, all that matters is that they want you to succeed as much as you do.Donald Trump and success can equate to weight loss and fat loss success to look sexy with muscles

Nobody can really pinpoint why social support is so valuable in the weight loss game. But including family and friends in your plan has been proven highly effective. Your friends and family don’t have to be following the same plan you are to support you either. But someone who is encouraging you to eat healthy and exercise is someone that can truly help you on your road.

The other side of the road is those who don’t support you. These are the kinds of people who make fun of you while you eat your healthy meals and snack all the while stuffing junk down their throat—taunting you in a way. Stay away from these people as much as you can—it will only slow you down. cats eating fatty foods, people who eat junk food will die young and be overweightYou need to be in a positive environment as much as you can with positive people giving you encouragement. You have to stay driven to your goal.

With this being the age of the Internet there are also some good social support resources online. Obviously there are weight loss forums all over the Internet. These are great as you can post your entire food log and exercise log on them. People are very supportive on these forums as they are in a situation similar to yours.

Social sites are also very good accountability tool. One of the best to use is Twitter. Twitter you can tweet about your food and exercise and nutrition and lose weight with social support of your tweepsIt basically is a site you can tell everybody what your currently doing or what is on your mind. But it is also useful to post all your meals and workouts on it. Try and find some people already on Twitter or get a group of friends to follow you and keep you honest with your nutrition and workouts. Any slip-ups in either and you can bet your friends will be on your case, and in most cases people you don’t even know will add their 2 cents.

Another good site would be Facebook. With Twitter you can only post 140 characters worth, but with Facebook you can do a whole lot more. Even I have been known to make comments about current or former clients meals. So watch out!

There are a lot more social sites out there that you can use. Most of them have the ability to communicate easily amongst people and that’s what will keep you honest and motivated towards your goals. Give it a try! Find some people that you know will support you. It doesn’t have to be just about losing weight or your nutrition, it can be working out consistently, and giving all you effort each time. Let them know you want them on your case if you are slacking. If you do that I can guarantee you chances of succeeding will go up dramatically.

Vegetables that help you to fight belly fat

Fat Burning Kitchen from Mike Geary, burn fat with vegetables

I bet you didn’t know that there is a specific class of vegetables that contain very specific phytonutrients that actually help to fight against abdominal fat.

belly fat can be reduced by eating vegetables and fruit says Columbus Personal Trainer Jason Yun

Let me explain what they are and why…

First of all, if you’ve already grabbed a copy of Mike Geary’s new Fat Burning Kitchen Program then you may already know about how certain chemicals in our food supply and our environment, such as pesticides, herbicides, and certain petrochemicals from household cleaners, cosmetics, etc can act as xenoestrogens.

Xenoestrogens are chemicals that you are exposed to that have an estrogenic effect and excess exposure can cause hormone balance disruptions for both men and women. So these can wreak havoc in the body for both guys and gals.

These estrogenic chemicals that we are exposed to on a daily basis can stimulate your body to store belly fat, along with many other problems.

So here’s where this specific class of vegetables comes in handy…
Vegetables can help you burn fat and lose weight
One of those cool tricks that Mike teaches in his Fat Burning Kitchen program is that cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage, etc. contain specific and unique phytonutrients such as indole-3-carbinol (I3C) that help to fight against these estrogenic compounds…

And by fighting against these belly fat stimulating estrogenic chemicals, this can help you fight against abdominal fat!

So there you go… just another excuse to do what mom always told you and eat more broccoli!

woman eating broccoli makes you look sexy and lose weight

In case you haven’t picked up your copy yet, he gives away at least 12 other specific foods, teas, spices, etc that help to combat the xenoestrogens and can help you to burn abdominal fat faster in his new program…

Pass this blog post onto your friends… I bet you’ll shock them with this article about xenoestrogens and how broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts can help to fight the battle against abdominal fat.

Fighting Fatty Foods For Fat Loss Success

Monday, November 9th, 2009

It might be an obvious statement, but the foods we put into our bodies fall into one of two categories – either it’s good for you or it’s not. If we Americans continue along the path of eating foods in the latter category, then being overweight will become the norm.
Fat cats and fat people are normal, weight loss needs to happen to get thin

Foods that cause us to gain weight have common characteristics. Before putting something in your body, think about if it falls into one of the following categories:

• High in calories
• Lots of sugar
• High in fat
• Lots of salt or sodium
• Lots of ingredients
• Little to no nutritional value

I recently came across the website “This Is Why You’re Fat”, this is why you are fat, bacon cheeseburger, extra sauce, which serves as the perfect of example of why obesity is such a problem in our country. The site reveals photos of foods laden with fat, sugar and sodium that people actually ingest. Although these are ingredients that appeal to our tastes – and things every fast food restaurant, cookie maker, donut baker and ice cream parlor exploit to reel in business – these very things are our pitfalls when tackeling our weight loss goals.

If you want to become lean and healthy, you need to fight the cravings for the fried, sweet and salty. You can start today by avoiding these “bad” foods:

• Fast food fast food kills you and makes you fat and unhealthy
• High calorie/fat condiments (dressing, gravy, mayonnaise, cream, etc.)
• Sweets (cookies, candy, ice cream, etc.)
• Soda (including diet drinks, which even with no calories increase your appetite for “bad” things)
• Special coffee drinks (Regular coffee is ok, but add 200 to 500 calories of cream or sugar and all nutritional value is lost) Special coffees, and cappuccinos will make you gain weight and be obese with diabetes
• Fried foods
• “Fat Free” packaged foods (You take all the fat, sugar or sodium out of a food and you need more of the other two to make it taste good. Don’t fall for deceptive packaging. Heidi Klum fat free food makes you fat with added sugar and sodium
• “White” foods (All the nutrition has been taken out of processed foods like rice, pasta and bread. In addition, these foods cause an instant blood sugar surge can wreak havoc on your body’s insides.)

This is not a comprehensive list nor will eating these things every once in a while hurt you, but if you are eating these types of foods every day, you will not succeed in your weight loss goals.

In addition, you will probably not feel as good as you should. Eating “bad” foods can cause mood swings, energy swings, headaches, nausea, cravings for more bad food, stomach problems, indigestion and other daily disturbances. diarrhea is bad, eating fat foods and processed will make you fat with indigestion

If we want to lead healthy, productive lives, we need to start replacing the “bad” foods with “good” foods. Additional weight does not fit into an equation for healthy living and the key is to start analyzing your diet now, before fat starts creeping onto your thighs and stomach. To examine how well you’re eating, record these simple things:

• What do you eat?
• When do you eat?
• How much do you eat?

Start your diet makeover slowly, gradually replacing the “bad” foods with the “good.” If you replace one item per week, in a month’s time, you will notice how much better you feel. Keep in mind, you can eat a lot more “good” foods then you can “bad” foods before going over your daily calorie requirement.

Let’s kick fat in its ugly butt, Columbus!

Foods That Make People Fat

It’s Here and It’s Free! Prograde Longevity!

Friday, November 6th, 2009

You can’t really miss it on the Internet these days. Seems like everywhere you look there’s another company promoting the nutritious Acai Berry as a weight loss miracle. It’s all a bunch of hub bub trying to get suckers to buy into it. And if you have been suckered don’t feel bad, it’s genius marketing on their part.

And that’s why I thought it was critical to write you today. We want to make sure you know my opinion on the subject.

First, you know better than to believe you’re going to pop some pills – ANY pills – and have the pounds and inches melt off like magic.

If you’ve been listening to me for any length of time you know true fat loss comes from a variety of factors, including exercise and proper nutrition. Consistency and effort need to be put forth everyday to achieve the results.

Second, any fitness expert worth their fees will tell you that any diet that promotes you eat any one food all day long and then eat a sensible dinner, well, don’t bother.

Yes, you will lose some weight short-term, but as soon as you go back to your old eating habits – and you know you will – you know exactly what happens. Metabolism slows to snail’s paces, fat burning is non-existent, muscles get eaten off your body to survive. The yo-yo effect :(

Third, the Acai Berry contains VERY powerful antioxidants and it is getting a lot of good press for that very reason. Yes, antioxidants as in the extraordinary nutrients that help fight the free radicals associated with aging, cancer risk and other degenerative diseases. It’s a super food.

And while on the subject, I wanted to fill you in on something that has recently come to light. Did you know that coffee berries (the berry that covers the coffee bean) is one of the most powerful antioxidants on the planet? It’s something researchers have discovered here in recent years.

What’s really cool is my boys at Prograde Nutrition have created an amazing Whole Foods based Anti-Aging formula called Prograde Longevity that includes both Acai Berry and Coffee Berry. Oh, and it also utilizes Green Tea, Pomegranate, Wolf Berry and Biovin Grape (Red Wine extract.)

Just to give you an idea of how powerful this formula is, well, you’d have to eat an entire POUND of raspberries to get the same ORAC value. And in case you’re not familiar with the term, ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity.

The best part is you can now try Prograde Longevity for free! Just click here to get your free bottle today.

PS – Remember, Prograde Longevity is NOT some silly weight loss pill. It is a powerful combination of anti-oxidants specifically designed to give you extraordinary protection against dangerous Free Radicals.

Weight Loss Gone Bad- The Truth About Diet Pills

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Diet pills and fat loss will not work unless nutrition and exercise is there
Weight loss pills have been around for years. It’s a multi-billion dollar industry every year. And it is showing no signs of slowing down. With Americans weighing in more and more every year at the current rate for adult obesity ranging around 25%. 1 in 4. 23 states actually increased their obesity rates from 2007 to 2008 and not a single state actually decreased.

So as you can see weight loss pills are here to stay. With millions and millions of people trying to lose weight and excess body fat the industry will only get richer. Diet pill companies get rich and richer off of fat people trying to lose weight

But what is a good weight loss pill. Is it an actual weight loss pill, a fat burner, a hunger suppressant, or another type?

It’s true there are some bogus companies out there trying to make a quick buck on people’s pain and suffering. That’s true with all types of industries. But the people that buy into these fly-by-night companies and their savvy marketing campaign diet pill companies marketing to overweight people play on emotions and sell them fat burners that don\'t help lose weightget sucked in, the pill doesn’t work, and they feel even worse now.

What is a person to do?

Make A Wish Foundation of Central Ohio Columbus Pumpkin Workout for Charity in Hilliard and Dublin put on by Jason Yun

“If you don’t think you can get a good workout in from just a pumpkin think again. A pumpkin can be used to simulate a medicine ball,” says owner and head trainer of Yun Fitness Bootcamps, Jason Yun. “Obviously some of the throwing exercises can’t be performed with a pumpkin, but beginners and experienced athletes, alike, will ‘feel the burn’. Working out on a consistent basis is not easy, but finding ways to keep your workouts interesting, like using a pumpkin, will definitely help.”

The workout will be made even more interesting if the participants decide to wear their Halloween costumes. The costumes are optional, but will add some interesting flavor to the workout. “Imagine walking by the park and seeing a clown, princess or Dracula doing jump squats with a bright, orange pumpkin. It will be quite a scene,” remarked Yun.

The Halloween event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, Central Ohio Region, which is an organization Yun works closely with and personally supports. Minimum donations of at least $15 are required to join the workout.

Women are encouraged to bring a pumpkin in the range of 10 pounds and men closer to the 20 pound range. The Freaky Fat-Loss Halloween Pumpkin Workout is open to everybody in Columbus and the surrounding area. For more information, please visit http://www.yunbootcamps.com/pumpkinworkout.html or email jyun@yunbootcamps.com.
