Prograde Thanksgiving Supplement Sale!

Monday, November 24th, 2008

I’ve talked about Prograde Nutrition before on my blog and in newsletters if you are a subscriber. I believe it’s the one nutrition company that has your best interests at heart. And when I found out they were having a sale just for Thanksgiving I think it deserved a mention.

You see, Prograde Nutrition has two big reasons to be thankful this week.

1- They have completely overhauled their website. It really is awesome and it makes ordering a lot easier for people.

2- They have just released their brand new product, a powerful Anti-oxidant combination formula - Prograde Longevity.

Oh, and the interesting part is it’s an 11% off everything sale. Why 11%? I have no idea, but here are some details I want to make sure you know about:

- Again, you receive 11% off all Prograde products.

- It runs from Monday, November 24th until Friday, November 28th at 11:59pm EST.

- The 11% will be applicable to all of the SmartShip orders too. But it only applies to that first purchase. Not ongoing. Sorry.

- The coupon code to use at the checkout is:

thanks (it needs to be lower case)

- In case you missed it, the website is HERE

Oh, and you should definitely check out the Cravers that’s one of my favorite Prograde products. Healthy and good for you chocolate. Need I say more! You’re going to want to have these around come Christmas time, too!

Jennifer Aniston kettlebells Yun Bootcamps Columbus

Kettlebells are catching on! Not just for Yun Fitness Boot Camps anymore. Hollywood heavyweight Jennifer Aniston uses them! You can read the article below I found here:

With a pancake-flat tum, cellulite-free thighs and arms that have never even heard of bingo wings, Jennifer Aniston’s body makes women half her age weep with envy. But far from being blessed with the sort of figure requiring no work, Jen’s incredible physique is the result of serious hard graft.

Traveler’s workout and diet plan- Thanksgiving Body Saver

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Here’s a nice little article for those of you travelers out there. Comes just in time for the Holiday season.

Travelers Workout and Diet Plan
Christopher R. Mohr, PhD, RD
www.mealplans101.com

Packing on slabs of muscle is easy for those who have all the time in the world to train, eat, and rest. Unfortunately, 1% of us fall into that category. The question then arises as to what to do for those of us who are “running” on the corporate treadmill that keeps increasing in speed.

Admit it, you’ve fallen prey to corporate work hours, your significant other may complain you are not spending enough time with the kids, you are consistently traveling for work, your nutrition has gone to pot, and frankly, you are beaten by life. Does this scenario sound familiar? Well now it’s time to do something before your washboard turns into a bowl full of jelly.

Barbells galore

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Today I decided to go to the gym. I don’t know why. I always forget something when going there. Today I forgot my stopwatch and my shoes. Had to work out in wolverine boots. Looked pretty dorky :( But still got in a great workout.

Started off with dumbbell snatches
2/2 x90
2/2 x100
2/2 x110
2/2 x115
snatchdb.gif

Then moved into a form of supersets with more of a break in between about :30-45 rest between each. Still wanted to get some what heavy in.

1. box squat & close-grip pullups
3 total sets worked up to 285 x 3. pullups 8-10 rep range

2. RDL’s and dips
3x 5×275 3×10-12 x weight

3. overhead press standing and roman chair sit ups/russian twists
2×6-7 x 135 2×10/20×25

Then moved into some conditioning complex, just made it up on the fly while doing it.
x135 lbs
high pulls x 6
bent over rows x 8
push ups on bar x 8
power cleans x 4
snatch grip deads x 4 (tweaked my knee a little)
did 2 sets total. FOrgot how awesome and painful complexes are. Need to get back on the complex horse!

Here’s a complex I did a few months ago:
